On the first Tuesday night of May we welcomed close to 200 supporters for the launch of Repurpose.  Wow what a feeling!! Repurpose leveraged our community of socially conscious authors, artists, celebrities, and businesses to raise funds and awareness for Girls, Inc of New York City. We hosted an intimate panel discussion with the authors and photographer of the new book, "Our Shoes Our Selves". We heard firsthand about the powerful stories of the shoes and the women that wore them. Then many shopped designer resale shoes, bags, and clothes seeking new stories to make for themselves.  The best part, new stories begin at the time of purchase when each sale directly raises funds to...

    As New Yorkers, we are reminded daily of the juxtaposition between immense wealth and severe poverty. We want to build optimistic bridges and are seeking like-minded women to join our style-for-good community. Just think of Repurpose as a mindful rack of clothing in the flashy world of fashion. Our mission is to raise funds and awareness for women and family-first nonprofits by passing on clothing from woman to woman. We are so grateful for your support. XO  Repurpose    

We believe in the power of a community. It plays a tremendous role for it's members,  catalyzing self love, growth, and value.  We are thrilled to be partnering with Strive, a nonprofit whose mission is to help people acquire the life-changing skills and attitudes needed to overcome challenging circumstances, find sustained employment, and become valuable contributors to their families, their employees, and their communities . Repurpose is proud to be partnering with Strive's Future Leaders division, offering 4 week paid internship opportunities to recent graduates.     

Girls Inc. of New York City's mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. We love their approach of being integrated, positive, and developmentally appropriate. They go against the deficit model which bombards girls with what not to do, they encourage girls to say yes to exciting challenges, growth-encouraging risks, and valuable new experiences. We are thrilled to partner with them in the month of May  and raise awareness and funds by using our sustainable fashion sales to directly benefit Girls Inc. of New York City.
