On the first Tuesday night of May we welcomed close to 200 supporters for the launch of Repurpose. Wow what a feeling!! Repurpose leveraged our community of socially conscious authors, artists, celebrities, and businesses to raise funds and awareness for Girls, Inc of New York City. We hosted an intimate panel discussion with the authors and photographer of the new book, "Our Shoes Our Selves". We heard firsthand about the powerful stories of the shoes and the women that wore them. Then many shopped designer resale shoes, bags, and clothes seeking new stories to make for themselves. As New Yorkers, we are reminded daily of the juxtaposition between immense wealth and severe poverty. We want to build optimistic bridges and are seeking like-minded women to join our style-for-good community.
