The fashion industry has taken a huge hit, with Vogue editor Anna Wintour calling the virus “catastrophic” for the fashion industry. Online fashion sales in the U.S have been down by 30 to 40 percent. Despite this, several brands have been taking the initiative to help with the fight against COVID-19.

LGBT designers do not just want to appeal to the masses. They are actively contributing to a new era where queerness and fashion explicitly intercept. So, for Pride Month, we want to celebrate 6 LGBT+ designers who are revolutionizing Queer Fashion.

Though the fashion industry has a long way to go with the representation of black people, several black designers have been using their voices to be the change they want to see. Read about five black designers who are using their brands to uplift the black community.

On the first Tuesday night of May we welcomed close to 200 supporters for the launch of Repurpose.  Wow what a feeling!! Repurpose leveraged our community of socially conscious authors, artists, celebrities, and businesses to raise funds and awareness for Girls, Inc of New York City. We hosted an intimate panel discussion with the authors and photographer of the new book, "Our Shoes Our Selves". We heard firsthand about the powerful stories of the shoes and the women that wore them.
