What is Shop Repurpose?

Shop Repurpose is a nonprofit organization that utilizes the resale of luxury items to raise funds and develop programs to support the health and wellbeing of women and families, empower individuals through mentorship and workforce opportunities, and provide conscious-minded communities to contribute to a more sustainable world. 


We have both an online store and a vintage boutique store located in Soho, NYC where we sell gently loved designers brands items including unique pieces of Gucci, Dior, Prada, Fendi and many more. Net proceeds fund grants to help those in need. 


How does the donation process at Shop Repurpose works?

Great question! We accept both pre-loved and new luxury clothing and accessory items. 


How it works

1. Choose Your Just One Thing(s). We would welcome multiple items!

2. Send a photo of you wearing the item OR post the picture and tag us: @SHOPREPURPOSE

3. Drop at a Donation Station or contact us for pickup. We will send a donor receipt for tax purposes.

Does Repurpose donate what you can’t sell? All the items sent to Repurpose are on the tax itemized sheet?

That is correct! We will send over an itemized list of the items that we have received. Items that are donated that we DO NOT intake into Shop Repurpose inventory are sold donated to affiliated organizations such as Bottomless Closetor Housing Works

How Shop Repurpose values items? Does the person donating value them? Or are values included on itemized tax receipt?

Values are not included on the tax acknowledgment letter. Donors will need to provide their own value for tax purposes.

 If items are of high resale value (above 10K) the donor wants to take a tax write-off, we offer several names of appraisers that will work independent of our organization. The donor has to incur the cost of the appraisal, but these appraisers are offering reduced rates for us as a nonprofit organization. 

What is Shop Repurpose return policy?

All in-store purchases are final sale. All discounted online orders are final sale

Full price online orders can request a refund within 4 days of delivery of the order.

Can I volunteer at Shop Repurpose?


Absolutely! This is a great opportunity to Become a mentor to the next generation of change-makers. 


We are proud to say that 82% of our Workforce attained higher paid jobs opportunities or continued education through our mentorship program!

What designer brands are accepted in Shop Repurpose?

  Shop Repurpose is fully committed to reducing the negative impact that fast fashion has towards climate change and working with our community to create conscious shopping practices through pre-loved designer brand items. Check out all the brands that we accept by clicking the button below.

Do I need an account to place an online order?

Yes! You need an account to shop with us. 


The benefits of having an account with us are the following: 

1. Track your orders and review past purchases

2. Save your address and card details so you can shop even quicker in future

3. Seamless check out 

4. Also, you will be subscribed to our newsletter and special discounts in our vintage store!


Can I amend or cancel an item from my Shop Repurpose order?

Depending on the status of your order, it may be possible to cancel an item.

 Please note, we’re unable to combine or add an item to an existing order.

If you need to make any amendments to your purchase, please email our customer service as soon as possible. e-info@shoprepurpose.org


What do I do if I think an item that I purchased from Shop Repurpose is faulty?

Simply email e-info@shoprepurpose.org and we’ll look into this for you. Please provide your order number and photographs of your item.
