Inspiration behind the piece "When presented with this piece, I was slightly put off by the jacket. For it resembled something Buffalo Bill would create out of his victims.
I sat with the piece and embraced the macabre energy it embodied and wanted to change the direction of how I was perceiving it. So I painted a young girl holding a flower, sewing herself together.
