IMPACT REPORT 2025

Transforming Luxury Resale Into a Force For Good.

Fashion is more than what we wear—it's a platform for change. Repurpose is utilizing the luxury resale market to empower youth, ages 16-24, through job readiness, personal development, and mentorship.

WHY IT MATTERS

Building Community, Creating Change

The fashion industry has a massive environmental impact, but it also holds the power to lead change. Repurpose is preparing the next generation to do just that.

Through hands-on training and mentorship, our fellows gain the tools to succeed and the mindset to lead. We’re not only helping them build careers, we’re building a community of sustainably-minded change makers whose impact will ripple across the fashion and creative industries.

OUR MISSION

The RENEW Program

Repurpose is building a sustainability-trained workforce and shaping a greener, more equitable future for the fashion and creative industries.

From merchandising to marketing, upcycling to styling, The RENEW Program offers fellows the opportunity to explore many different facets of the fashion industry. Group mentor sessions and cross-department collaboration allow for students to build their network and develop long-lasting relationships.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT

Stitched Together

On July 15th, 2025 hosted Stitched Together, our very first (and certainly not our last) networking event at Steelcase. It was a powerful evening where brilliant leaders came together to share their story, values, and visions with our incredible RENEW Fellows.

From speed networking and time to shop our exclusive closet, it quickly became an unforgettable evening marked with authenticity, ambition, and a shared commitment to shaping a more conscious future. With new members joining our mission, we’re more eager than ever to continue equipping youth with the tools they need to lead with intention.

EVENT HIGHLIGHT

The reGALA

On November 20th, 2025, Repurpose hosted The reGALA, our inaugural fundraiser - and a defining moment for our community. If you were in the room, you felt it. The reGALA wasn’t just a fundraiser, it was a movement. A dance floor powered by purpose and a mission-driven community coming together to invest in the next generation of fashion leaders.

The evening brought together supporters, partners, and champions of sustainable fashion for a night rooted in joy, connection, and shared belief in Repurpose’s mission. The reGALA raised $100,000, directly fueling the RENEW Program and expanding access to job readiness training and mentorship for young people entering the fashion and creative industries. More than a fundraising milestone, the night marked the beginning of a new tradition and the growing momentum behind Repurpose’s vision for a more equitable, sustainable future.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT

Couture To The Max

During Fashion Week in February 2025, Repurpose was honored to welcome Couture to the Max for a special visit to our showroom, thanks to our Advisory Board Member Fern Mallis. At just 8 years old, designer Max Alexander (@Couture.To.The.Max) is already a fashion force, with over 3 million followers and a bold stance against fast fashion. Max shared his passion for sustainability and creative reuse with our RENEW Fellows, inspiring them to reimagine what’s possible with repurposed materials. His visit sparked important conversations about innovation, purpose, and designing a better future—starting now.

HOW IT WORKS

WHAT'S HAPPENING IN 2026

Team Lead Initiative

We've partnered with Marfa Stance to launch part-time, paid, year-long positions for three RENEW alumni to mentor new cohorts, lead skill-building workshops, and support program delivery.

Our Team Lead model empowers RENEW graduates who are college seniors or recent grads to step into leadership roles while deepening their impact—empowering young professionals to lead with purpose and create lasting change.

In partnership with Marfa Stance, Team Leads dedicate approximately a third of their training time to customer relations and operations with the innovative UK-based retailer.
