Celebrate Giving Tuesday with Repurpose

GivingTuesday began as a simple idea in 2012, a day that encourages people to do good. It is touted as a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. Repurpose is excited to participate in the Giving Tuesday initiative and we encourage all of our community to join us in the movement.

A few ways you can support Repurpose this holiday season:

Monetary Donations. Every donation makes a difference. No donation is too small or too big.   We have many exciting things planned for 2022, including significantly expanding our Workforce Development program. We'll be working in close collaboration with our partners and seeking out new partners to support us in our efforts to increase opportunities for women and families in need. Monetary donations are critical to our ability to support the health and wellbeing of women and families and empower women through the creation of workforce opportunities. As a reminder,  Repurpose is a 501 (c)(3) so your donations are tax deductible

Clothing Donations.  Please consider supporting Repurpose by donating a few gently used designer items (of course, we will take more than a few) to help us with our mission. Any items donated that do not match our criteria, will be donated to one of our partnering organizations. For a list of designers that we accept please click here.

Volunteer or Mentor with our Workforce.  Repurpose is built around community. We have many opportunities for volunteers to get involved, from marketing to sales, operations to finances.  In addition, we welcome mentorship from seasoned professionals to our workforce development program. If you are interested in getting involved please learn more here

Shop our collection.   We understand that it is not always easy to donate but your purchasing power is especially impactful when you shop with us. Not only are you making a sustainable purchase, but you are directly raising funds for our 2021 grant recipients, Win, WCK, and Nami NYS.  The Ellen McArtur foundation recently stated that It is estimated that if everyone in the US bought one item used instead of new in 2020 it would result in 66 million trees planted, 100 billion liters of water or roughly 1.25 billion showers saved, and 240 million pounds of waste or roughly 18,700 full garbage trucks of waste saved. So don’t delay.. Shop our collection here.
