What is the donation process? 

We accept merchandise donations as long as they meet Repurpose standards and comply with the following: 

• The conditions of Items we receive are either Brand New, Unused, Unworn​, or ​Pre-Owned (lightly used -look like new). A trained stylist will approve items donated before reaching our facility (​on-site ​or online TBD). 
 
• Brands: We currently carry the following designer listed ​here​. T​ his list serves as an example o designers we carry, but not limited to only these brands. We do not focus on designers that have a strong presence in outlet stores or discount retailers. 
 

We guarantee that ​the ​items we sell are 100% ​(space) ​authentic. Please note that brands sold are not partnered or affiliated with Repurpose Wardrobe. 

• Items must be clean/washed before scheduling ​a donation
• When to donate: Schedule and confirm donations through emailing e-info@shoprepurpose.org​. We have a weekly max capacity for receiving goods. 

Does Repurpose donate what you can’t sell and is everything that is sent to Repurpose on the tax itemized sheet?

That is correct. We will send over an itemized list of the items that we have received. We are unable to inlude any detailed pricing information on this list. You may inlcude your own estimates or check our website when new items are listed. Items that are donated that we DO NOT intake into Repurpose inventory are donated to amother organozation such as Strive or Dress for Success.

What happens with the items received that you don’t believe you can sell? 

Any items we can’t sell in our store are donated to the following organizations:

• ​Strive ​
 
• ​Dress for Success ​

• ​Housing Works

Understanding that you are looking for a designer level of items, do you accept items that are of equivalent value/type but not included on the list (e.g. Marc Jacobs)?

We will accept other items of similar value. Examples of brands which we will not accept in our store, and not limited to are; J. Crew or Zara.

How are items valued? Does the person donating value them? Or are values included on itemized tax receipt?

We do not inlcude pricing on the itemized tax receipt. Donors can include their own estimates, or reference the resale values of the items posted on our website. If items are of high resale value (above 10K) and they want to take a tax write-off, we offer several names of appraisers that will work ​independently ​of our organization. The donor has to incur the cost of the appraisal, but ​their appraisers are offering reduced rates for us as a nonprofit organization.

What is your return policy if I use a discount code?

It is the final sale.

What is your shipping policy?

Due to the ongoing developments with COVID-19​, ​the protection of our customers is a top priority and all the necessary precautions are being put in place to ensure the wellbeing of our customers. All economy orders will ship within 1-3 business days. We are unable to offer refunds for packages lost or stolen after delivery to a customer's given address. You will receive an order confirmation email after placing your order to the email address provided. Once your order has shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email that will include your tracking number and ​estimated delivery date. International. We do ship internationally; prices vary depending on region/country. The customer is responsible for paying any fees in customs. Is it safe to shop from your site?

The health and safety of our customers ​have​ always been our priority. We have enhanced safety measures to maximize protection.

Do I need an account to place an order?

We encourage you to use an account when shopping with us. You may also checkout as a guest. The benefits of having an account with us are the following:

Can I amend or cancel an item from my order?

Depending on the status of your order, it may be possible to cancel an item. Please note, we’re unable to combine or add an item to an existing order. If you need to make any amendments to your purchase, please email our customer service as soon as possible. ​operations@shoprepurpose.org

What do I do if I think an item that I purchased from your site is faulty? 

Simply email ​e-info@shoprepurpose.org ​and we’ll look into this for you.​ Please provide your order number and photographs of your item.

What do the condition descriptors mean?

  • New With Tags: Pristine condition, never worn, with tags still attached
  • New Without Tags: No tags but zero signs of wear 
  • Lightly Loved: Worn with a little wear and tear
